Operation realities are demanding a new generation of technologies and capabilities. Remotely piloted systems are going to increasingly transition from being automated to the autonomous realm (both offensively and defensively). This will create technology hurdles that must be taken into account.
Future of UAS in the AF:
Aided by commercial industry advancements and use cases, understand the future operational requirements, and discuss how unmanned aircraft are going to meet these new demands as part of the overall airpower inventory. We hope to discover what might be wholly revolutionary, and what might expand from proven success.
Future of UAS at USAFA for Cadets:
Discover current state, assess where needs are being met and where improvements could take place. Discuss shifting, improving, or integrating classes, innovation centers and identifying activities that will enhance cadets’ education. Find actionable paths forward that will introduce and reinforce current USAFA initiatives – Institute for Future Conflict.
We are seeking industry and academia partners with knowledge and expertise in Sensors, Hive/Swarm Technologies, Counter UAS, Autonomy, and Military Fiction Writing.
